Publication Requirements

Key-information for paper submission and publication.

Submission Requirements

  • Paper must be original, unpublished, and relevant to Automotive Systems/Applications.
  • Paper should be Written in English using the SAE International template.
  • Should include a plagiarism report (Turnitin/iThenticate) with a similarity index below 15%.
  • All authors/co-authors must hold valid SAEINDIA Membership from submission through the conference date.
  • It is highly recommended to have a minimum of 15 recent references that have been published within the past 10 years. Textbooks, technical manuals, personal communications, and websites are not to be cited often and do not count toward the number of references needed for a technical paper. Excessive self-citation should be avoided to ensure objectivity, with only one or two self-citations allowed.
  • The use of generative AI is not allowed for writing papers but may be used for grammar and punctuation. If AI is used in any way, the author should include a section at the end of the paper, similar to the following:

    Declaration of AI-Assisted Technologies
The author(s) discloses that [TOOL NAME] was used for [PURPOSE]. The author(s) has reviewed and edited all content as needed and takes full responsibility for the scientific integrity and authenticity of this article.
  • Because AI tends to invent or fabricate references, if AI is used to find references to support the research, authors must ensure that each reference is, in fact, in existence, pertains to the subject matter of the paper, and is used to support the work. All references must be cited within the paper.
  • We also have an updated document for How to Write a Technical Paper, which is available on our website for authors to use.
